You guys seriously ruined Krawk and Draik's original look enough. Neopets had its time and now it offers nothing. Now, you probably have to pay for everything. Then you had to pay for items and then Neopet clothes. This once 'free' game with some advertising became a massive bloat of ads and then started to ask you to pay for Neopets Premium. It's outdated and since most people are ditching Flash for HTML5, Neopets' flash-based games will be a thing of the past. It basically lost its touch in the world of internet. It provides no incentive to even go back to the web-based game. Neopets has made no effort to develop a mobile version of its game (so far). The game slowly disappeared from people's lives for one reason or another and now it's just an artifact of gaming from the dial-up days of the internet. It was impossible with dial-up (the time when the game mostly existed). Only people with high speed internet at the time was able to grab the rare items first, or play those 'click here, load, click again, reload' games like solitaire. Quests were all time limited so strictly that you can never get the item you need in time at later levels of the quest.

All items within the game, even sold by NPCs were expensive. Random events rarely ever happened, not even bad ones. High scores for trophies were impossible to achieve. Because no one could make that many Neopoints legitimately. Basically, anything that can make the game more useful or interesting for you is impossible to achieve so why bother? It was out of reach for probably 90% of players. If that's the case, can anyone imagine trying to earn 50 million NP or 100 million NP for those Battledome weapons and other useful paintbrushes and potions? No. Getting a million Neopoints is a difficult task on its own, and by just playing a few games, it could take well over a year to get that. Finally, let me explain why most people I knew decided to stop playing this game either early on when it first came out or later when Neopets sold out: because it's impossible to achieve anything in this game.

The players on the boards are either young adults or older people who are so full of themselves. They are selective and uncaring, and make rules or sudden new rules to suit themselves but not their users. The staff is not very helpful towards users with frozen accounts or users who have been banned for unfair reasons. Their games became sponsored by Disney movies like High School Musical, various brands of cereal, etc. Not to mention those awful pre-loading screens on every game that took ages to load on dial-up. Not a problem.ДЄ year later, they sold out entirely and there were at least four advertisements in every page. In a few years, they decided to sell out and their website put placements for a few advertisements. I was a user since 2001 and it started out very relaxing and fun. The total users worldwide probably adds to less than the amount of students in my high school now. It makes me wonder what direction Neopets is going to go in. Neopets has a lot of glitches and bugs and NEVER fixes them, never has any new games updated or added.

And plus they took off Key Quest! That was the best game they had and everybody loved it. Surprise!Д®ven that Advent Calendar in December has sucked for the past 6 years! They used to give paint brushes away ages ago but never anymore. I never go on the chat boards anymore either because people will go out of their way to report you and get you in trouble & your account gets frozen. You see other sites that allow you to play for as many points as you want but not this site! Most items cost millions of points that will take you over a year to do or so! Despite playing & not sending your scores. You're only allowed to submit scores for Neopoints 3 times a day. They won't message you back and won't help you. It always said case open but didn't email back or anything! And they NEVER DID. I sent a ticket and email to Neopets and guess what? They never replied.

I had my older account inactive and I decided to try to come back and forgot my email and password used since it was 10 years old. It used to be ad-free but now it's dozens of spam ads! And one was a lingerie ad for bras! It had a promiscuous name for the site too. Neopets is not at all what it used to be.
